I think this "every part is the money shot" approach is valid, and proves that it's something you do unconsciously at this point; I didn't have to read your Subaru fic in three different "sessions" because it was too long, it did it because it was too hot lol so I don't think you should worry that your more thought out stories are rambling and whatnot

as for the criticism part, I believe that's a bit complex, since you deserve to have fun while writing, it's no easy feat after all. You may let the original requester down but they're not the sole audience. It feels like the abuse fics are just niche of niche for most here. I'll include myself into this too, I'm all mushy and prefer silly and happy scenarios, but that proves you're doing something right cause the Aqua story is the exact opposite of what I look for and I still left satisfied
