I don't know any of these guys. I don't care about these guys. But they're always there and I'm forced to chew it up and swallow it and act like I might like it. I don't.
You serve me one or two with my steak and tell me it's an acquired taste? Fine, I'll try it. RPR is fine. Templexx is fine. But if I'm getting it every five meals, I just can't do it, you know? At some point you serve me shirako injected into the meat and I'm like, "No, I'm good. That's it. Thanks, but no thanks, I've hit my limit."
I'm sure they're all nice people in their own way. But it's not what I'm here for.

Sure, I tried that. But a big part of watching a streamer is to follow their development. And every time I come back I know Selen less, she's experienced more on-stream I don't know about, she has more in-jokes with people who I don't know or who even rub me the wrong way, her interaction with her core audience has evolved again. Every week, I'm just more of an outsider, looking in.
I like Selen. And I don't hate any of these guys. I'm sure they're doing their best to entertain. They might even be helping Selen's numbers. But it's not what I come here for. If I eat steak with candy in it everyday, I might grow to like it. But, welll...I could always just go to another steak restaurant.
So yeah, now and then when she does a long solo gaming stream, I don't mind popping back in. But I'm just standing in the doorway, you know? There's no attachment to her. And if another stream comes on without any of this baggage, well, I'm just going to put that on instead. Maybe leave her muted with a browser extension for the view, for old times' sake.
And don't think that doesn't apply to Ame. If she starts doing collabs twice a week with people I don't care about, I'll do that too. But even then I'll give her a chance for months to slacken off on it. Just like I did with Selen.
