What I don't understand though, is why does her fanbase care what she's playing? That's the question I was going to ask all of you, but I think that part of what happened was that with her previous long series games, she culled not to just her core fans, but core fans willing to watch THOSE games, elden ring, and then zelda.
Now that fanbase is being asked to watch FF and this is an even smaller fraction of the original core.
