in this medium, parasocial relationships will happen regardless of what anyone wants. it's part of the rules of the game you agree to when you sign up for this shit. if you don't like idol culture or parasocial relationships, then you shouldn't enter into idol or vtuber culture. if you do enter into either despite knowingly objecting to them, the blame is squarely on you for being ignorant of the culture or ignorantly thinking that you can and should change it.
