Shark Facts!

A shark is around one order of magnitude heavier than man (so, since we count in tens, that order of magnitude is around 10x).

Now, man's body is around three orders of magnitude heavier than a frog.

That is, around 1000x, since frogs weigh around 22g according to Google. Females are larger than males, of course (so they probably weight more).

Now, where this becomes interesting is that it may be easier than we believed to lift a shark, whose mass Google tells us is 680kg to 1100kg, since someone has already lifted more than twice the largest mass here.

Two-time Canada's strongest man winner Gregg Ernst, in the month of July 1993 lifted 2422.2 kilograms, kg, or 5340 in pounds.

Google does not tell us what he lifted for this quick research, but it appears he previously lifted two fully grown oxen watched by over 1000 people!

Update: I went on a deeper research tour, there is apparently a disputed record that goes even higher to 2840kg.

So, this may mean that with a bit of training, even if no one else has done before, you could lift a shark.

All men could, with the right help, lift Gawr Gura!
