Pregnancy is essentially a form of Body-horror even though It's a divine act and really encapsulates a lot of the duality of Life surging forth. The Mother's body becomes infiltrated at the genetic level and mutates in order to incorporate the being she will bring into the World. She gets sick enough to vomit, part of her distends, her craving for nutrients gets high-jacked, the Baby fusses and kicks . . . in the end even though we get a new life and the fulfillment and common-place miracle of bringing a new life into the World: The birthing process can be dangerous for both Mother and Child . . . Body-Horror often has an element where the victim will go from being beside themselves at the changes being riven in their body: Yet also having moments of euphoria at recognizing some new power, ability or extreme sensation that their transformation gives them. I wonder if Layna is keen on having kids someday not just because she sincerely wants to have a Child to Love and care for but maybe out of interest in the process from that perspective of fascination with how her body would change and what she would feel through having another Being manifest through her.

The turn on to it lies in the idea that you have to serve as a source of sustenance for someone but there's this odd balance where the character in the fantasy needs to feed but cares about you so much that they don't let it go to far. While you are forced to rely upon that trust and put yourself on the line. It gets really weird when you look into Sexuality with that dynamic in mind and realize that there's already something of predatory behaviors that spill-over into it. Such is the dichotomy of existing and maybe a big part of Being Human is that we are put in positions where we are pushed to reconcile Duality. Layna definitely has some awareness of that coming across in her character model even if she didn't fully intend it.
