The reference frame is what is important here. If two trains are passing each other, both going 30km/h, to an observer outside they are both going that speed, but to an observer inside one of those trains, the other seem to be moving a lot faster, namely 60km/h.

I can tell you that I'm one of the people that is subbed to Skye, watch every second of her content, but almost never catch her live because of her stream time. Other than what the other anons said, big numbers attract people. If you see a 400 sub channel you will automatically view it differently than a 10k channel or 1 mil channel. Big number = more trustworthy to produce quality content (at least in the eyes of majority of casual watchers)
