the thing is that with 99% of human bosses you can see they made a decent boss with a fair moveset but then some retard came in last minute and demanded they do twice as much damage, have a phase 2, and give every attack a massive aoe. with monster bosses like hippo, lion, or undulating tree spirit there's just nothing good that can be said mechanically. you're fighting the camera more than the boss and the boss is just spazzing out so you can't tell if it's attacking, what the attack is, and what the hitbox is compared to a dude just swinging a sword and instantly knowing everything.
