>throwing tons of money/donos at vtubers doesn't make them automatically like you or even give you a simple "no" when you DM them for the first time asking them to play a specific game that you're willing to gift them
>you need to actually interact regularly with them but they already have their regulars so unless you're super charismatic/interesting you'll basically be ignored

I don't know what I thought but the realization hit me and now I feel like shit. I guess if you're a loser in real life who can't talk to people it basically translates to online even though a decade ago it was never that way, you could at least get 1-2 "friends". I guess maybe I figured if I set myself apart by giving subs/donos it would give me a bit of priority for interaction, but it doesn't even fucking matter. It's not even the big vtubers either, I'm talking the ones with sub 20 viewers at all times. I think I'm just going to cancel all my subs. Serves me right for thinking that throwing money at people would make them at least pretend to like you even though that was the case a decade ago too.
