I saw the users you mentioned, it's all strange. I kind of blame the English Wiki for pushing a bunch of stereotypes, Ago's popular clips seem pretty normal, if not just fanservice-y (it's Akina's that are reducing him to one thing) but then you open the comments and yeah people only see him as "that super lolicon". Same as on this board.

I've had this feeling over other Japanese stuff I like. This thread has the biggest concentration of anons who like something Japanese that I specifically like. FPS thread being #2 because fuck /vg/. But I'd rather it stay this way. Even if I can be the only one bringing up a guy I watch at times. Discord is lame, Twitter is insufferable, not like JP twitter is perfect because lol no, but at least there's manners and people aren't lying to unsuspecting followers to prove their oshi is actually 'pure'.
But Ago IS a pure boy anyway, cute polite and pure.

While it's true for clips, you may underestimate how many Nijisanji fans are live translating everything and anything about their oshis on Twitter, which is where you get all of these people who are unable to understand streams but still know what's going on. They may follow all these translator fans then only later realize, wtf this guy is a lolicon, and then freak out, because unlike what some on this board believe, no he does not mention it every second.
Bottom line is, people who don't know anything about your oshi but repeat things that muddy the truth don't matter as they won't even be watching anyway. This isn't the only place it happens, and still, everyone can continue to stream normally.
