>I always assume not letting Europe buy from holoshop is because VAT rules are too complex.
They seem too complex for GeekJack as well. I've been testing this out by adding random items to my cart, and the delivery and tax values I'd be supposed to pay are all over the place. In theory, they legally have to offer you an option to pre-pay VAT for all orders under €150. In practice, everything afterwards is a lottery.

Sometimes I'd get the same delivery+VAT cost for 3 items as for 1 item, even though the 3 items were worth more.
Sometimes adding an item worth €84 would increase my total delivery cost by €94 – but if I wanted to order only this one item instead, the delivery would be just €35, or €62 with VAT included.
Sometimes purchasing individual items from a set and losing the bonus was a far better deal, otherwise you'd be tanking more than double of the delivery cost. For instance, I recently took a look at Kaela's birthday merch, and I'd pay about €145 for the delivery. Then when I checked all the products individually, the delivery dropped to €62. A bromide card for €83? Yeah, no.

Extremely limited stock aside, products on GJ are also 15% more expensive than the currency conversion from yen would tell you. So... is the VAT included already? If yes, why the fuck would I ever want to pay it upfront?
None of this was a problem until like 3 months ago. We'd just pay with yen and have our customs offices deal with it.
