Regarding that:
I think I'll at least do a writeup on the concepts of the Inclusice/Extractive Institution idea (I talked about it before in other threads but never to really detailed levels) and how I think the concepts apply to Cover and Anycolor, but I'll hold off on building a more concrete theory of how it shook out to be that way until after the summary is done. Honestly, that's probably the right idea, since I think you could easily split it into two separate writeups, one on Cover and one on Anycolor.
The whole thing is a fascinating concept of how communities can develop cultural and institutional standards that, when codified into a power structure, can explain why certain societies become developed, and why others don't. So I think it can fit this current example well. It just needs time to sit and be thought out.
