I really do recommend him! I didn't know any Japanese at all other than super basic anime stuff when I started watching him. But his enthusiasm, dumb noises, dumb everything, his cuteness and how handsome his voice is all come through regardless of language! If you haven't watched his 3rd anniversary 3D live yet, I'd recommend that because his cuteness and sexiness and singing talent and goofy dance moves definitely transcend language, and even if you can't follow what they're saying, his reactions to the messages are SO ADORABLE (and more importantly I suppose, there was an English translator in chat throughout the whole stream!)

Also, he tends to repeat himself a lot, so that helps! Although he speaks in slang constantly and swaps his syllables around and does silly voices and is just generally a little bit weird so I wouldn't recommend him as a first port of call if you actually do want to learn Japanese. Source: someone who learned (and is still learning) a whole language for this idiot and has no regrets

He's super hard working, he's very creative, he's got cute and sexy in spades, his dynamics with other talents are so enjoyable, he loves what he does and you can tell. He pretty much never rages at games, and when he does it's comedic, which I appreciate because personally I get second-hand anxious very easily. Despite that though, he's never afraid to share his feelings if he's upset by something (the recent merch situation...), so you don't feel like he's putting on a brave face for the camera. Actually, several of the other boys have mentioned he acts exactly the same on stream to off stream, and one time he started moaning seductively at Miyabi when he was wiping his sweat off after dance rehearsals! So... take that how you will?

Basically, I love him. And I know it can be a worry whether you'll be able to follow him properly or not, but I do genuinely believe that even if you have no Japanese, or some but you aren't confident, or you're fluent, or any stage in between, he's a really comfortable and enjoyable and fun streamer to watch. Frankly, his mario challenge run streams ("if I collect a coin the stream ends") were 90% squealing, and his horror game streams are mostly just him cackling and screaming, and there's obviously that slitherio stream where he moaned like he was being fucked... or his ASMRs, which are so fucking hot and cool no matter what, I sleep to them a lot! He's a very voice-and-noises focused streamer, so even if you can't get the nuances of conversation, he's still fun to watch. And when you get more experienced with following Japanese, he just gets so much better and cute and I love him so much...
