I'm confused? That's clearly Sonny.

I'm not sure what I experienced in Sonny's Plug & Play stream today, but I suppose I enjoyed it! Usually, I look up the games he's playing when he posts his schedule - so when I saw he was playing a glorified animation with a total playtime of ten minutes at best, I had to tune in just to see what he'd make of that. While I'm not sure if he intentionally missed the entire point of the game, his straight man reactions to the artsy-fartsy what-the-fuckery going down on his stream and the absolute confusion of the audience was great. Truly, the monochrome Death Stranding.
Since the game finished faster than he expected - despite Steam clearly showing its playtime! - most of the stream ended up as extended zatsudan. His work coffeemaker backstory was adorable, but things took a more serious turn when he reflected on the nature of his content and talked about surrounding himself with good people rather the constant negativity of real-world news media. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I really enjoyed this segment. I wouldn't want him to talk about serious subjects all the time instead of, say, his real passion of sushi, but I've always felt like he's on a wavelength that resonates with me, and I do genuinely think he has some interesting and lucid insights when he's not being an absolute retard. I'm glad he shared them.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk. Quality over quantity is an interesting discussion, I suppose. I've been wanting someone in EN to do more infrequent but high-effort content for a while, but I've never been sure if it's possible in the current ecosystem - it feels like there's a lot of pressure to deliver lots of content all the time because it's a full-time job for them and that's what their audience expects. If that's what Sonny wants to explore, then I'll look forward to seeing it.
