the way he spoke about it after debut, he was always prone to parasocialism, he was just badly burned in the past and was scared of it happening again. i've rambled about it before but he's reasonably hesitant of becoming overly attached to us because there's too much he can't guarantee. i'm glad he's realized over time that it doesn't matter and we love him anyways
