She was so happy, it felt like a punch to her gut. What a crazy fucking world. She had gone from feeling like she had lost nearly everything to having the entire planet in the palm of her hand in the span of a year. She didn't deserve it, she was just another loser. Another degenerate working a dead end job chasing a dead end dream joking about offing themselves. But now she had something. A weird little army of people that would give anything for her. It should be repulsive, as a concept any woman should be terrified of her position. But she wasn't. Slowly learning the sad fact that just waking up every morning to someone happy to see you could make your problems wash away. It felt like food for her soul. She wanted to be close to them, so she was. Her following was massive, there was no way she could give everyone equal attention, but as long as she kept some around it would be fine. As long as she had some support she could live. She could better herself. She could keep herself busy, keep the doubts quiet, because she had a stream to get to. She'd open herself up to them, get close, to the point of being uncomfortable sometimes, but what's the alternative? They were her life now. They made her happy. Is her pride worth that? No way in hell. She has to enjoy this while its here. She'll have to move on, one day. Maybe she could take some with her, but to what? Could anyone she could settle down with even provide her with this level of unconditional love she's become used to? Probably not. So why shouldn't she do things her own way? Her following can't get that much bigger. She can love everyone. She can treat them as seperate entities. How could that which gives her life be treated with any less respect? She has a drive now, she can do anything. She can breathe again
