The actual characters don't give us much to work with.
They ignore their lore for 95% of their content, meme-worthy moments in their games are rare, and we spend most of our time joking about Hololive as a whole, or Hololive behind the scenes, rather than any forward-facing part of Hololive.
If I went through the effort of making a Non-Reddit meme about Pekora's Monster Rancher 2 creations, I know for a fact most of you wouldn't get the joke. Hoshiyomis would understand pic related, but people who weren't there when Suisei recently did this, or who don't know how Towa's involved, would be lost.
That's the issue.
