My suggestion, and I am literally (one of?) the eye color schizo's. As long as it works correctly in 'color-blending theory' (or whatever art people call it) and it's obvious that it's the lens color tinting the correctly colored irises to be the same color, there's nothing wrong.
That said, having the eye color match the lenses like in the ai art is already super cool, so I don't know if flipping it would be more or less cool.

Also I give redjuice a pass on his variations not having heterochromia, because it's like fanart from the original source, so it's like, almost canon?

I saw that Pekora beat the Mario RPG in about 11.5 hours, and the title says she never played it before, so that should be a more realistic measurement than that one site that was estimating 15-20 (before the game was even out).
