Here is a nice chart from last thread. Full wall of text at >>47322060, but the short summary is

Question
>why the Hololive girls (from the Japanese branch) have abnormal numbers in relation to the rest of the industry
Answer
>because they see what the audience wants to watch and just stream it, without any complexes about "creativity", "repetitiveness", "cringe" or any of the usual charges

>Why is holo jp so abnormal

That's an easy question to answer and even having to type this embarrasses me a little because reeks of
>If people are homeless why don't they just ... buy a house?!
but, unfortunately, it is what it is.

The JP girls of Hololive mastered the following skill
>see what their audience wants to watch
>GIVE IT TO THEM!
No ifs, no buts, no "that's repetitive", no "that's not what **I** want to play", no nothing.
They figure out what the audience wants AND GIVE IT TO THEM.

Pic related has a very simple table
>Top 3 streams in April for each Hololive girl
It's unsurprising.
Out for the 98 streams for the 34 girls (3 for each of the 32 girls plus one for Aqua and one for Suisei)
>24 were PuyoPuyo
>23 were Minecraft
>10 were Q Remastered
It is that simple. From the moment they realized people wanted to watch more Minecraft, the Puyo practice for the tournament and Q Remastered they gave it to their audiences in great quantities and availability in multiple channels.

So, why is holo jp so abnormal?
>they see what the audience wants
>they give it to them

"Why does it seem so obvious then", you might ask. It is not really easy to do that.
For instance, there is this real suspicious that several of the HoloEN girls stopped playing Minecraft frequently (even when they got AWESOME numbers for it) because they were shamed by a segment of the audience
>Minecraft, Minecraft, Minecraft .... don't they do anything other than Minecraft?
Then they decide to play "Live a Life" (for instance) or Fire Emblem anbd the same audience that complained about Minecraft (while actually watching it) just bows out and does not watch it.

If a content creator gives the audience what they ask and becomes popular with it, he (or, in Holo's case, she) will be called a lot of things
>repetitive
>lazy
>pick me
>creative bankrupt
but there is no secret to what the JP girls are doing
>see what the audience wants
>give it to them
>power through the criticism

That's "if you are homeless, just buy a house" type of insight but ... well, it is what it is
