The first thing we have to understand is that Haachama isn't as far removed from Haato as a lot of people seem to think. Haato had her moments of being loud, obnoxious, lewd, or teasing. Even her tsundere traits aren't absent from Haachama, they've just been repurposed -- Haachama pretending to be freaked out or disgusted by the things Haatons do/say despite actively encouraging them is tsundere. But there are a couple Haato traits that didn't make it into Haachama in any way: pureness and calmness. Haato might not have been oozing with these traits the way some others do, but they were at least present. So what did Haachama do with these traits that she had no use for? She just kept them inside -- and now they're coming out. That's all that new Haato is, a half-empty husk that only contains the traits that old Haato discarded when she became Haachama. Or it has nothing to do with lore and she just wanted the two personalities to be as different as possible, but I can dream.

You'd think that they're two personalities sharing a body, and there is evidence to support that. Most recently we had Haachama fall asleep in the middle of her part of the ASMR stream yet never get noticed by Haato, which implies there wasn't a second body in the room. However, there's even more evidence to prove that they're two different people. They were both on screen at once in the first karaoke stream of the month, and usually when the personalities swap in the middle of a stream the body just goes to sleep instead of swapping along with them. How can both theories seem possible? Because they're both right. Haato and Haachama share a body, but there's another, separate person involved. Who is she? I can answer that question with a question:

They just don't seem to fit her. She really seems like she's been asleep this whole time and doesn't know much about Haachama. Just mentioning Haachama can make her lose her grip for a bit, and not in a yandere way. More like a "Haachama is stirring inside of her and she has to keep her at bay" way. So there are two explanations for this: Haato is merely pretending whenever she acts calm, or yandere Haato and empty Haato + Haachama are two different people.
Her identity and what she wants with Haato and Haachama I don't yet know. I have theories for each, but they don't agree with each other. Her identity would be the other twin in the picture, which makes sense. My theory for why she acts how she does is that she represents the fanbase: she's as crazy as Haachama and claims to love her, yet wants her dead so Haato can take back over. But how do the fanbase and the twins connect? There is one other theory: the roommate is purposefully inconsistent with the number of bodies and Haato's personality in order to fuck with us and/or keep her options open.
