the hontou no oto cover was the thing that made me realize bae was the one. i never had an oshi before and only watched bae casually before that but i dont think ive ever heard a more beautiful cover in my life and its crazy to me that this cover still makes me tear up even a year later, i must have looped it over 500 times i usually only listen to music offline but it was still my most watched youtube video for 2022. i felt the same when she sang Suteki Da Ne in one of her recent karaokes ive listened to it so many times now.
thats one of the big reasons why i really hope bae will have her own original ballad song one day, her voice is extremely soothing when its slower and more controlled it just fits her so well.
