I can't say I've ever really had problems with the kouya script for loras, there's a lot of steps and different parts but just start at the top of the instructions, follow each one in order, don't skip any parts of them, and it should all sort itself out. And if you get an error or are unable to complete one of the steps, stop there and either google solutions or ask for help rather than going "oh I'm sure it'll work anyway" and continuing

I'd also recommend lora specifically over other things you can train such as embeds or hypernetworks since they train much faster, which makes it a lot easier to learn and correct mistakes.
