Niji obviously has an acceleration problem, none of their female livers that debuted during 2023 succeeded either - except for that one gamer girl.
And she is well below Shiori as well, and even Kobo, Mel and fucking ITO LIFE because guess what? People get tired of ACCELERATE after you've crossed 100+ chuubas.

No one outside of Holo and Niji have tried male chuubas in a big way either. Prism & Kawaii both had a primarily male audience and faced the same problems the homos did (except 10x worse because they are far smaller).
PLAVE seems to be doing decently as well, even if they don't call themselves "VTubers".
And Sutopuri is basically chuubas in all but name and and extremely successful.
And guess what both groups are modeled after?

And guess what Niji's more successful male groups like Chronoir, ROFMAO and VALZ are modeled after?

Which reinforces my point that homos are failing due to never pushing deep into idolshit and just occasionally dabbling on it here and there in an attempt to get (what Cover believes to be) a broader market.
None of the newer niji debuts have been given the support or push into being "idols" either, Lauren and other new nijimales are all going for the same ol' brotuber route for which he has a HUGE amount of competition from all his senpai.
Male VTubers HAVE been tried, and HAVE been successful - all of the successful ones follow the "idol" formula. Everyone else either fails or flounders.
