what do you want for en3?

EN3 will be headed in a more "conservative" direction than the first two gens, in the sense that the theme isn't quite as wacky with lore and is more "grounded"--it's sort of an enchanted school like JP2. Debuts in late July.

Those are completely acceptable though, you can think of them as "optional" holos. If you're a fan of holoEN, Myth is the only mandatory gen and the protagonist/leader and soul of the gen (Ame) is the only mandatory member of that gen.

Outside of that, you're literally free to follow/watch whoever you want, including council members. It's literally just a single member that's mandatory so it's not like it's super restrictive.

Where did everything go so wrong?

For few months after their debuts it looked like HoloEN is going to be amazing and only keep getting better. Now most of them are hollow shells, 2nd gen is mediocre and half of the branch seems to be having mental issues while other half barely streams.

Can they even turn this around? All good indies seem to be going into NijiEN and other smaller corps thanks to HoloEN management having terrible reputation.

Will they flop as badly as HoloID? No one wants to hear anime girls with western roastie voices. The shark girl especially looks like an effort to make one of their generation a meme but I doubt it'll go anywhere.

With that out of the way, what do you guys think of EN/western vtubers? I know that back during this board's infancy, many wish-they-were-Japfags were absolutely abhorred by the idea of western vtubers, as they didn't "get" idolshit (despite vtubing not strictly being idolshit), that they'd post their real face constantly, boyfriend yabs, the works. Were you like this anon? Have you changed your mind. Tell me why. If you haven't and still believe this: how do you justify people like Matsuri and Noel having a very active roommate account, or other JP indies that have posted their face covered up with some filters and stickers in their Twitter. Hell, and not to get too meta, but would posting such things here even be "doxxing" when the vtuber posted that herself?
How about comments from people that were always hopeful and positive for the western vtubing scene, beyond just being EOP or whatever? What are some gals that really make you proud the west is in the market?

Be honest: you burned out on holomyth.
You no longer like them as much as you did 6 months ago, and definitely not 10-12 months ago.
Ame: no longer cares about streaming, no longer puts any effort in, cranky and gets mad at her chat, no attempt at humor and resorts to the same old clip-baiting personas like "twitch gremlin" and "stinky" and "toxic"
Ina: same as above, less effort into streams in general, games are uninspiring and uncreative, never does anything engaging like member art or member tutorials anymore
Gura: the only exception to the rule, compared to herself 10 months ago, streams more and clearly puts in more effort.
Mori: barely streams, low music output
