The focus of Hololive is the idol activities, and songs to a lesser extent, end of discussion. With Aqua and Ayame we see a focus on the former and with Shion a focus on the latter. Even now we have minimal EN and ID2 streams because they're in Japan recording for the big yearly event. If you want more streams, watch those indies or nijis I guess.

Because they want to and are able to and don't have the same issues Gura has, and I don't mean PC issues. Besides, even giants like Pekora and Miko had to take a ton of time off due to moving and health, and I'm sure if people like Koyori or Kaela had big events or issues suddenly pop up, they'd (hopefully) prioritize their health and life over Hololive also. There is literally nothing you can do to help Gura with whatever issues she's facing and there's no guarantee she's able or willing to fix them soon as well, except maybe a supportive comment in a youtube vod or twitter thread she might see. There's nothing to defend, either accept her for who she is or just find something or someone else to support instead if you really can't stand it. Also, I will say Ayame and Shion were both basically MIA for a LONG time, but they've both been relatively active lately, so they've hopefully dealt with whatever issues they had and will be around more in the future. Also you can really do is wait.
