hello asp, i need advice.

i was originally going to be a boy vtuber because i'm male, but one of my friends told me i should commission a girl model because my voice is high-pitched and passes for one. his reasoning is that i would get more attention as a female streamer.

is this true? should i just be a girl? or should i go the route of being like mashiro from nijisanji?
