People that have not lived through a southern summer do not understand the level of humid it gets. Just feels like a sweaty armpit for months. The water in the air never goes away so it storms in the spring and it freezes in the winter so the air stings. Unironically any other region is better. Staying in during storms is nice though. Also seeing the trees change. Only saving grace is if you’re near the ocean bc you get a nice breeze
