The h-scenes are very bad. They are extremely out of character and not written by Munemitsu.
Aquaplus forced Leaf to put them in at the very last minute since they were worried the game wouldn't sell without it.

Also the first game is good but nothing amazing, It's Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth that people really love, so even if you don't find Uta1 particularly exciting it's still very worth sticking through unless you are just straight up bored to tears or something.
