The last thread was close to dying so im posting this here just in case anyone has an idea about how to feed cookies to the 24/7 stream recorder script (https://github.com/ancalentari/twitch-stream-recorder)) or rather streamlink (https://streamlink.github.io/index.html).).

>TL;DR/basic rundown on this problem

So basically twitch has changed how ads works so streamlink/the twitch recording script cant skip them anymore as they used to do from what i understand so these lines were added the cli log of the recording script since starting today (see screenshot for context):

>[plugins.twitch][info] Will skip ad segments
>[plugins.twitch][info] Waiting for pre-roll ads to finish, be patient

From some tests ive run with another channel right now this means the recording script will just wait until the preroll ads are over on streamlink and the recoding script but mid roll adds will be in the recording as this anon>>36917319 has mentioned meaning the live recordings will be fucked unless you are able to feed cookies to streamlink/the recording script. For context from last thread check these replies:

It doesnt seem like its as easy as just feeding a cookiex.txt file into it like its the case with yt-archive/Yt download so either this https://github.com/streamlink/streamlink/discussions/4313 or this might help with this: https://streamlink.github.io/cli/plugins/twitch.html might help with this its easy enough to feed cookies to programs to download past vods but its not as easy for live recordings.

I dont have the energy to work on this stuff right now as im tired as hell and idk if i will do so anytime soon as i barely even had the energy to get out of bed for the past month, so i guess my vods will have the ad segments in them (or rather the commercrial break in progress screen) if they happen for a while until i found a fix for this that is if its even possible to use this with the with the 24/7 recording script.

So either i find a way to feed my cookies (with the nyan sub to skip adds) to the twitch stream recorder or i can just drop this archive stuff as im not gonna keep an archive with live recordings with 30 sec add segements every hour or so in them as this is just half assed word in that case and i hate doing a half assed job of this.

This might be a sign i should just drop this nyan archive already considering its been a year since i started working on it but im just gonna try to find a way to fix this before i do so just because twitch is fucking around with how ads work.
