"They've played scarier games just fine" is very simplistic view, as if a specific content reliably generates a specific reaction. Also, it's not so much about tiers of horror games. Different strokes for different folks, and Fuwamoco are quite particular in what works and doesn't work for them. For example, the badly written characters in Parasocial completely pulled them out of it.
A lot of it depends on the set and setting, which they do have certain amount of control over. For example, Fuwawa can be more sadistic in a way that riles up Mococo or, or she can be more supportive. Theoretically, they might be able to just shut their brain off and get through bunch of horror games if their life depended on it, but as streamers there would be no point. So, it's possible that they are intentionally letting their guard down, to let themselves be affected. But after that, the reactions are completely genuine and there's no backing out, for example, in the first Backrooms stream Mococo was in genuine distress.
Fuwamoco can seem to be putting on a bit of an act at times, which some people misinterpret as "it's all an elaborate act". Fuwamoco always hype things up in the beginning in a way that can be considered fake, actually this is them giving things a fair chance, in the spirit of "fake it til you make it". It's meant to kick off the ride, get them into the mood, so it can then continue in a genuine way. Fuwamoco are the type to either get sucked in or become completely apathetic towards things, so how they get the ball rolling is important. This applies to most other people too (except for cynical people), you can never tell what someone is thinking in the first 10 minutes, but later on it should become obvious whether someone is genuinely engaged or faking it.
As a general principle for schizos who think everything is fake: It's always easy to hide things (since people aren't mind-readers), but schizos generally overestimate people's ability to fabricate a reaction believably, and Fuwamoco aren't like that. One reason why people often suspect Fuwamoco is that they are genuinely so weird that it's hard to believe. A bit like with Haachama sometimes.

What kind of dreams is Fuwawa hiding from us?

a rrat I was cooking in my mind the other day:
>all the paypigs who are supposedly /here/ actually have never heard of 4chan and are completely oblivious to the fact that completely unrelated people here are pretending to be them.
>And all the early reactions to LTST were them just being attentive to twitter (since they are very invested in Fuwamoco) and wanting to steal credit (because paypigs want attention)

It depends on tea and brew. I've found that many white teas, oolong teas and some black teas, after exhausted by normal temperature brewing, get really interesting if you microwave later infusions. It's a genuinely underrated, unexplored area of tea.
I just read some study, generally you extract more stuff at higher temperatures, with the exception of catechins which peak at 10 minutes at 95C and decreases if brewed longer and/or hotter, meaning that even for catechins, microwaving will extract more than colder brew. You can't technically "burn" tea leaves with hot water, but depending on tea (especially green teas), you want to avoid extracting certain chemicals that are detrimental to the taste.
And I'm talking about pure unflavored tea. Who knows what happens to flavorings and additives at extreme temperatures.
