And many, if not most, people place vastly more weight on voiced opinions than statistics and heuristics. When you add a human "voice" to something, it starts bearing far more weight on a person than all the statistics and all the masses. Especially if it's negative. Why do you think streamers keep getting oneguy'd?
If someone's looking to improve their stream, which do you think holds more value, actual written words with arguments and details, or just CCV numbers and ad revenue calculations?

It doesn't lack context. The context of it is that it's anonymous. It's something said with zero identity involved and with nothing traceable to the person saying it. That is extremely meaningful. Anonymity allows people to open their hearts and speak truth regardless of social approval and consequences. Things they would never dare say in public, but think are true.

And? Do streamers only care about other streamers and their views? I don't know about you, but in my own field, the opinions and views of the "viewers" are just as important to me as peer review. They're the intended audience after all, the people the service is produced for.
