Read the end of the VN, watched the anime, and then the extra scenes from the movie.

If you just like the girl the VN is enough, but if the main guy is literally you the anime then movie gives some closure on him. I did see some stuff about a light novel so I assume the anime and film pulled its ending from it.

Overall pretty nice little series but it didn't make me cry unfortunately.
