This is Bangiomorpha! Fossils of this algae have been discovered in northern Canada. At over a billion years old, the scientific community recognizes it as the oldest known evidence of sexual reproduction!

More recently, we've learned about Ouro Kronii! Being as old as the concept of time itself, her existence predates Bangiomorpha, but reaffirms the fact that sex was created in Canada.
