Ignoring the obvious things like being part of a big corporation with a lot of fans, she worked because of the company "expectations" of being an idol.
Comedy comes from contrast, you can't have boke without the tsukkomi. Coco's demeanor clashed with the idol image, and this was more apparent when she was collabing with the other members who were trying to keep their seiso image and clashed with Coco, creating funny moments.
This is a more general observation, but the idol expectation works in favor for every member, because when someone says motherfucker it is seen as taboo. It's the same energy as those "Try not to laugh" videos, or trying not to laugh in school during classes. It makes you laugh even more.
Obviously Coco was more than this, and she was entertaining on her own, but her persona worked best when in hololive because of that contrast. Going to another company, she just becomes another vtuber that says motherfucker or has a bikini outfit.
I don't say this to point out that this is right and what she did is wrong, she left hololive exactly because of those expectations of being an idol, these are just my thoughts on why I think she doesn't feel the same as when she was in hololive.
