/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

Vtubing made me depressed at not having experienced an idealized school romance and love life, even though I was perfectly content before. Once it was dangled in front of me, I couldn't help but ache for it, I should've stuck with viewing only or something.

I think this is it, I'm leaving this hobby for real.
Recently there are too much dramas within vtuber industry that I can't stand anymore. It's the political issues, I always expects vtubing to be an oasis for those who don't want to hear about political drama everyday, but now even the vtubers themselves are the ones voicing their opinion.
This is just the catalyst, I've stopped enjoying livestreams for around half a year and watching the backlog playlist of clips has become a chore.

Maybe I'm back to my normie self, I was never a weeb until the pandemic, and when it begun I consumed dozens of anime until I found vtubing. Now that my mind is crystal clear from weebness I think this whole vtubing is kinda stupid, the concept of hiding the physique so people would only look at talent is great but the fact that the talents have to hide behind Japanese inspired characters and doing Japanese pop culture thing is stupid, sooner or later it would spill over to political issues because it ties to certain culture.

I quit now, maybe I will be back to watch some things left on my list, but other than that I think I've had enough. It's been nice talking with you guys.
