I ran across a guy like that once. He had it bad for a girl that wasn't interested in him, and he learned that she and I danced together at a party at her house. He started digging into my life trying to get dirt on me and shit, trying to contact me pretending to be other people so he could get information to poison her against me. The worst part is I never even spoke to her after that night but to him it was like I became his arch-nemesis. I didn't even know any of this shit was happening until someone else told me.
