It will be icebound often, and has little use as a military base because of that. Rather, to me, it makes sense that a nation that it interested in science, and the stars would want to have some sort of scientific base up there. Schizos would be a problem, but we can figure out how to deal with them.

I also invite the Retro Reich, and Republic Owl to set up facilities on that island with us so we can conduct science together. I will consider inviting Tsukinode, Moriji, and Infinitium but the distance probably won't make sense for them. If they wish, they may come as well. This base is for science, and our Navy promotes the intermingling of scientists for the growth of humanity as a whole.

Sanalites, if they are interested in the science, may also operate from that facility. They also are free to come into our lands if they wish to settle.
