Drawing at a young age is great because you get to git good without being crushed by your adult sensibilities, but that doesn't mean you can't learn much faster and much more efficiently by using your brain as an adult.

For example, I learned how to draw male torsos by copying a drawing of shirtless goku, line by line, over and over. I memorized the line placement, but I had no fucking clue what the lines meant, I didn't understand the structure they were trying to convey. When I got a little older and my brain grew a little more it suddenly clicked and I understood what I was doing, but it was a really stupid way to learn.

Drawing requires dedication for sure, there aren't any shortcuts, but if you enjoy the process it becomes its own reward (as long as you don't get too frustrated by your obvious lack of skill).

Also Just because you started young doesn't mean you can't waste decades not drawing and losing every headstart you had
