I genuinely think there's more of a female audience that wants to watch good gameplay than people realize; I just don't know how people can tap into that. I used to follow professional League of Legends extensively, and there's a ridiculous amount of female fans that show up for games, produce content, and buy merch without anyone pandering to that audience. Fan favorites have girlfriends and wives, and no one cares.

Yeah, we'll have to see. I think a lot of Noctyx is still figuring out how they settle into the existing ecosystem; only Fulgur seemed to come in with a clear idea of what he wanted his content and audience to look like.

That's what I mean by having an audience thrust on them instead of growing one. Luxiem flourished in part because the big hitters of their generation didn't rein in chat at all, and now it's brought together a culture that's very alien to me as an older fan. It'll just be a question of whether the livers adapt to their audience, or their audience adapts to them.
