Forgot to mention that the eastern fringes of /lig/ are orogenic in nature due to the subduction of Council Plate under the Northern Indie Plate. Earthquakes and volcanism will be relatively common there, which also leads to the formation of mineral ore deposits. As such, you can probably expect the mountainous border to house the majority of mining operations as far as metal goes. Some of these minerals could get carried downstream by water, which can form smaller deposits in the west, although finding the ones large enough to be worth the effort can be difficult at times. Still, it's sometimes used to find valuable deposits further upstream. Do you like panning for gold?
