here's some tips
there's hidden room called "regular secret room" that can be accessed by placing a bomb in the middle of a wall
regular secret rooms always spawn in places where 2 to 4 rooms connect to it (use minimap to figure it out)
but if a rock or any other obstacle is blocking the middle of a wall somewhere that has a possibility to spawn the secret room then it'll never be there, it's good to check every side of the rooms to be sure there's no any obstacles
also tinted rocks that have slightly different color and marked with "X" drop good items(most of the time) if you bomb them
