Twitch definitely changed something about the add thing. The pre roll add message:

[plugins.twitch][info] Waiting for pre-roll ads to finish, be patient
[stream.hls][info] Filtering out segments and pausing stream output

is new. I dont know if it will affect recordings but i guess i will see once this nyan stream is over.
