I told him he shouldn't post it since I think its better to move on and celebrate good things rather than dwell on stupid drama
Apparently some anons have a lot more in common with him that they care to admit

Rei's relationship with Saya is a little unique, but it's common for younger shrine maidens and trainees to seek guidance from their seniors. It's very much a sorority on that side of the temple grounds. A pious, stabby sorority.
Saya is a Holy Ghost and member of the Shitomo, so it's not like she's familiar with Rei on the level like it would be for two girls just a couple years apart, but she is a mentor and sort of surrogate older sister-type, yeah. Rei's a nervous wreck of a girl who despite her faith and competence is wracked with schizo shit like actual dangerous schizo shit, so Saya is specially protective of her. You pegged Maya right. She's Rei's roommate and only friend.

Thanks Lunaito, I appreciate it! Yeah, I will readily admit it's a bit of a struggle to come up with names that both feel distinctively "Deadbeat" to my autistic mind, and that are actually easy to remember and differentiate from one another. I'm always trying to balance my urge to dump exposition with keeping a scene moving, so I'm happy to hear I'm managing that decently. As for inspiration, I can see where you get 40k novels from, I've read and enjoyed a bunch of those, and I do have a preference for 40k-esque character archetypes. Though I can never reach it, the prose I hold as a gold standard to strive for is Frank Herbert and GRRM.
And yea, I write out character personalities, relationships, and arcs before I begin, even if those end up changing a lot as I write. Those are very rough though, they're just strings of keywords "Aloof, perturbed, wants a promotion, hates Samuel", stuff like that.
I also write bullet point outlines of the individual chapters to know where I'm going with them, those tend to be very useful for breaking up the chapter into manageable parts. A trick I use a lot to get through the intro of a chapter is to look at the first important "event" of the chapter (That can be a meeting, a conversation, a fight), and write the intro while keeping that event in mind. Basically, have the intro build up to that event. Or, you can do a cold open, and skip all the pleasantries and have the chapter begin with the event. Even if it's a bit shocking to start in the thick of it, you can always introduce your setting and characters after that event, once you've got your feet in the door.
I'm kinda rambling now, but thanks for the kind words!

Kino article, Kiarfield destroyed me. Those are some big birds, wouldn't want to make one angry. Based on sacredness, I take it their meat is not harvested? What would it taste like?

Ah, a direct followup to that! Hmm, I think she'd find the Kronie's paranoia silly while jerking her nationalist ego off over how much more hated by the international community the Deadbeats are. Hoshiyomi are a particularly funny case, because Suisei is absolutely beloved in /morig/, but Suisei's thread basically hate us and Mori. She'd do her best to camouflage these thoughts in public though. The shared persecution complex might be a good place to find common ground between the two individuals.
Oh, and the wine is definitely a good way to get in her good graces and send the wrong (right?) message.

Alright, I've finished my first bit of narrative prose for this thread. The writing standard for those longer stories is pretty high here, so I hope it's good enough!

I'd say that the opportunity cost for not holding those coins /when/ they do spike is much greater than what you would have lost on dividends. You fall into those traps only if you hold a substantial amounts of them.

Take Iroha for example - during her last spike, you could have easily sold ~400 coins for ~3,000-5,000$ profit per coin. And this is with multicoin. This is much more than the dividends would have brought you. Keeping 200-300 of each coin would tie up just ~25% of your total net worth, but greatly increase your trading income since you can keep those coin buffers for a long time.
