There's still good places out there. My mill heard I was going through a divorce so they set me up in an old office (with central air btw) in the abandoned part of the mill. No rent or utilities for 7 months while it all got sorted out. Then once child support was finalized they put me in maintenance (~$7/hour raise), got my an electrical apprenticeship, and let me work week-on/week-off so I could have my kids half the time.

Absolute fucking madlads. Turns out almost literally every single man in the mill had been divorced at some point. I'll probably be here until the mill shuts down. I don't give a shit you don't dip out on loyalty like that.
