Japan is unbelievably based. Based like you wouldn't believe. It's like if you squashed all of the US into a tenth of the space, added all the wealth and made everyone not hate eachother. Yet most of all your oshi are shut ins, they don't know how big the country is and haven't been to most prefectures. As they earn more money they are able to actually experience their own country instead of wage slaving in Tokyo. Hence why so many of your oshi eventually end up depressed. They realize they've been shut in and wage slaved most of their lives, so when they go on a vacation they struggle to return to a modicum of their normal lives. This is what happened with Haachama, she went on spring break to somewhere nice in Japan and lived it up. One week turned into one month. When she got back she was instantly slapped with a lockdown and reminded of her former life.

It doesn't explain all cases, onion for example is just retarded and couldn't feed herself and fubuki was pregnant.
