She got disillusioned. Remember her dream was to be an entertainer for kids, not to do the song and dance for a bunch of pedos. To rub even more salt in, the current most subscribed vtubber in the world is currently living her dream as a child friendly entertainer.

Why doesn't /vt/ consider Cookie a "real" vtuber? She has a rig, a model, and has been doing this for about a year. What would she have to do to be considered "legit?"

Just because she isn't in a corp doesn't mean she isn't legit. Nyanners for example had a huge following before she became a vtuber spanning over a decade, hopped on the hype bandwagon and still makes fleshtubing content to this day, yet she's still in the vtuber discussion.
