Yeah that's accurate of MMOs, especially Korean MMOs, they treat their playerbase like slaves. Though (OldSchool) RuneScape sets itself apart by having well written quests with challenging puzzles and bosses, and significant, often game-changing rewards. Not the "Kill X, deliver Y, talk to Z" bullshit that every other MMO peppers into their games. I'd even go so far as to say that OSRS beats out most RPGs period. Though there is still a lot of grinding you can do if you go looking for it.
