None of these threads have had to deal with this shit.
The last thread did not have any warning or admonishment associated with being pruned. Yes, it called out the janny for being a faggot, but that is something they can issue a warning for, yet they chose not to. The thread before also got deleted completely, even though it is within a janitor's toolkit to just delete the offending image. An outright purge was completely unecessary.
Whatever new janny or mod is at the wheel, they need to either eat shit or handle some actual problem threads, like the fact that >>27427553 has been up for 8 hours and "why is X like this" doesn't autosage your thread. /nasfaqg/ posting censored porn as their OP is probably one of the weakest problems on the board.

According to the Info page, the design philosophy of NASFAQ indicates that the "ideal market function" is that knowing what is going on with a wide range of streams should give you benefit more than those that do not know what is going on. In this, we agree. I do not, however, agree with the notion that pulling the adjustment time closer to API update time serves that idea. The idea is predicated on the premise that there is firstly: a significant edge to doing your reps over not doing your reps, when the data does not indicate that any such edge exists, and secondly: that enough players will do their reps for the change to have an impact on the market, which is a dubious argument due to the first counterpoint.

In summary: You COULD pull the adjustment time back to 1 AM, but it doesn't serve the game's design philosophy or the desired market result to any meaningful degree. You'd just be changing who can be there for adjustment plays and who can't. If that's what you're shooting for, then by all means, but if you're looking to change adjustment time in order to make competition fiercer, I daresay you're going to be sorely disappointed.

I made something like 8m on EN2 and I'll probably make more, but a couple of things bother me about the IPO.
Why did they spike when the IPO is supposed to adjust to a "base price" based on their metrics? Everyone but Baelz performed worse than IRyS, yet they all adjusted to nearly double IRyS' IPO value. Does this meant that a few thousand subs is more important than 400~600k views? What about Sana, who didn't even beat IRyS in subs? Why did she go to 17k when IRyS did leagues better than her in IPO and only went to 9k? What's the system here? If the "base price" is reliant on the player input phase, then that completely defeats the point of the base price to begin with, since the current system will just always have it go up.
There is no logical comparison between IRyS and EN2's metrics that comes to the conclusion that EN2 will spike as high as they did while being as inflated as they were. It's all fucking magic. If it's magic, what is the point of having the "speculation" phase at all? It's really just a "Preorder" phase, where you put gradually increasing amounts of Fucking Nothing on the line to preorder your free profits.

I don't really care about my placement on the board, it's gonna go up anyway as people quit or get dejected or I get random jackpots in coins people don't play. I had contingencies for a lot of weird price fuckery, but all of it ended up being luck, and none of my predictions were right for the correct reasons. What is the point of a market with no logically predictable outcomes?

Of course it is. I called it a Country Club the other day for a reason. I've been here almost 2 months now and I only just broke 1m due to divvies this last Saturday. Inflation is insane and Time Played is the biggest advantage this game offers. You will NEVER overtake somebody that has more playtime than you unless they make a REALLY retarded mistake or stop playing. Even then, nobody that's outside the Top 50 right now has a shot in hell at overtaking Mogu, who allegedly barely plays and only hoards Okayu at this point.

It's not hard to figure this out, and information posted here isn't very valuable most of the time, so I imagine most new players that hang out in the thread quickly leave, if they don't quit the game entirely. That leaves the few people willing to invest in the Country Club or contribute in other ways.
