Hello ruffians!
Thanks to your encouragement I started with my Nihongo learning journey!
DAY 39: Today I've done my anki and grammar reps. For anki I've done 10 new cards today. For grammar I've read lesson 18: The Past Forms. Seems like it's very important to know polite -masu form of every verb I learn, not only the dictionary form. Maybe I should, as I encounter them, manually include -masu form in every card that contains verb in core 2.3k deck that I'm using for my vocab reps?
Mario Kart fwas fun not for Mococo :(. I haven't watched 漢字でgo live, but I'm slowly gonna watch the vod and try immersing at the same time. Live TL seems to work for vods as well, so I have that and stuff that's happening on screen to use as a context to help me figure out what they're saying. I'm trying not to rely too much on live TL tho, even if it means I'm gonna understand less stuff, cause I noticed that if I read it too much I kinda get lazy and just keep looking at it and waiting for next translation to appear, instead of listening to them. I've only done about 25 minutes this way and, although majority of my understanding comes from watching what's happening on the screen and occasionally reading TLs, I've managed to catch a few words and expressions here and there. There were even 2 words in game that I kinda recognized... Not actually, only after they solved it I noticed that I've "learned them" while doing my anki reps, but it made me happy nevertheless. I hope they continue doing occasional JP streams cause they can be my benchmark to see if I notice any improvement in my Japanese.
BAU BAU!
