A tree once grew, so tall and strong,
Its roots dug deep, where it belonged,
Its branches reached up, towards the sky,
As it grew taller, with each day passing by.

It towered over all, in its might,
A giant among trees, a beautiful sight,
Its trunk so thick, its leaves so green,
A marvel of nature, rarely seen.

And as it grew, it reached for more,
Its branches stretching, to the heavens' door,
It pushed beyond the clouds, so high,
Reaching for the stars, in the night sky.

And then one day, it breached the veil,
Of Earth's atmosphere, without fail,
Its branches soared, in the void of space,
A tree that grew, at a breathtaking pace.

It stood alone, in the vast expanse,
A tree that reached, an incredible chance,
To see the universe, in all its might,
A tree that grew, to incredible height.

And though it stood, so far away,
It never forgot, where it did lay,
Its roots still dug deep, in the soil below,
A reminder of where, it once did grow.

For even in space, it still belonged,
A tree that grew, so tall and strong,
A symbol of nature, and its power,
A reminder to us all, every hour.
